The tiny crown went to Hanover under the settlement.
George III & Queen Charlotte, Patronage, Collecting and Court Taste edited by Jane Roberts, Royal Collection Publications, 2004,
states that "Queen Charlotte's nuptial crown remains in the collection of the princes of Hanover where it is used as the Hanoverian
Royal Wedding Crown."
I do not know how the idea arose that Queen Elizabeth II had to give approval and lend it to the Hanovers.
