Great portrait! The Queen's serene look, the beautiful golden brocade dress, the lavish setting of Windsor Castle's White Drawing Room, and of course the subdued, but symbolic choice of jewellery, make this portrait a very beautiful and successful one - both very regal and very personal...
I also notice that the Queen discreetly, but surely, displays another piece of her jewellery: her engagement ring. After all, 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation... but also the 70th anniversary of her wedding with her beloved Philip!
Maybe (just for the fun of finding something to criticize) that the Queen Mother's Maple Leaf Brooch does not stand out strongly enough against this beautiful golden brocade fabric. Maybe that Queen Mary's Ladies of Montreal Maple Spray Brooch (worn by Queen Elizabeth II in 2010) would have been a better choice (well, I mean a better choice, as compared to a good one...):
