The Duchess of Brabant's new tiara is tall and impressive but did not sparkle very much on film so maybe the stones need cleaning. The design of the tiara gives the impression that it dates from the late 19th early 20th century.
I was a bit disappointed that the Bulgarian royals did not wear any tiara's. The family has a number of historic jewels that could have been loaned to the daughters of Kyrill for this event.
I like the recycling mode when it comes to dresses. Both Ingrid Alexandra and Martha Louise wore dresses from their mothers and the Queen and Crown Princess wore dresses we've seen before. As did princess Astrid, crown princess Mary and Queen Maxima.
Im hoping the dress the youngest daughter of ML was wearing is also something from the back of her grandmother's wardrobe.
I think Marie Chantal wore the biggest tiara as Maxima opted for the smaller version of the House diamond set. Marie Chantal's dress was like her tiara (oversized).
I hope Estelle and Oscar do not have to sit through the entire dinner and speeches. That might be a bit boring for them at that age.
One thing did stand out to me: Ingrid calls her younger brother Magnus (his second name).
Never see such a huge tiara , it looke like the de Merode tiara but it is not.
