BTW: the newspaper Dagbladet has an article with photos of Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th birthday gifts: https://www.dagbladet.no/kjendis/dette-fikk-hun/76432964
Didn’t Princess Astrid previously say that some of her necklaces and brooches also would return to the main line, while CP Martha’s diamond bandeau and Duchess Pauline’s gold parure would not? I don’t know what jewels are considered a lifetime loan vs. private property. It can’t solely be based on the provenance, because the VA badge bracelet was a gift from «Princess Astrid and family» in 2019, hence it must have been private property.
Or it could also be a piece that the King and Queen have bought back from the children of the late Princess Ragnhild.
I can understand that such recognizable grand and historical jewels like tiaras might be on lifetime loan, but it doesn't make sense (my personal opinion of course) that all the valuable jewels should be on lifetime loan. Don't get me wrong; I would love for this to be true as it would mean that we will get to see more of these jewels in future. But I don't think it would be fair to the decendants not being Royal that all jewels should revert back to the main line (as long as they are private property) and they themselves only left with small trinkets.
I wonder if Princess Ingrid Alexandra's parents also gifted her with something tangible.
By the way I have created a page on my blog about this event. Should anybody be interested in reading it I am putting the direct link here:

I have enabled the comment section there in case anybody would be inclined to leave a comment, suggestions or questions.
