I was looking through a collector's edition of the
Queen's passing and it was showing a picture of EII Christening and the brooch QEQM, mother is wearing reminds me of Rock Crystal Brooch of QEQM and being worn by Camilla. I found this exact photo in the Royal Collection #2999930, VanDyk

I don't know if it is the same brooch, but I did stop and look at it twice. P

A lovely and stunningly clear picture of the late Queen's christening. Though I'm not convinced, that it is the said brooch on The then Duchess of York's hat brim, since the jewel worn at the christening seems more lozenge shaped than the rock crystal brooch. It looks more like a white gold/platinum brooch, maybe set with diamonds and a coloured center stone. The Rock Crystal Brooch (left: wikimedia, right: pinterest/flickr.com)
Brooch at the christening (Royal Colletion)
Though it seems to be the same hat in all threee pictures, I'm convinced it's another brooch at the christening.
Might it be the wedding present of The Princess Royal, Princess Maud and Princess Louise: a diamond and sapphire brooch , since The Princess Royal, Princess Mary, Viscountess Lascelles was a godmother to the little Princess of York? (source: royal-magazin.de , sadly without a picture...)
