I read your comment and the others about the Royal Family Orders.
What are the current whereabouts of these family orders of Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, King George V, King George VI (and possibly King Edward VIII, if there were any of those for him that were made but abandoned when he abdicated)? Are they lying around in the Royal Family jewel vault or maybe re-made into other designs? I am sure there were several Royal ladies who once wore them but once they died, the family orders would be returned to the Royal Family, wouldn't they? Would anyone know the exact total number of them out there?
Dawn, I cannot answer all those questions.
I think Family Orders are returned on the death of the recipient, but there are various stories of being kept and worn by another member of the family, or altered to become a brooch, with permission, if the stories are reliable.
Otherwise I think any returned Orders are held in the Royal Collection and can be viewed on that website.
I do not see how returned ones could be remade. They were individually handpainted portraits on ivory (in most cases). Future ones will most likely be on glass.

Impossible to know.
