Do the Luxes do evening white tie weddings? Or, do they have the day kind with hats and pearls? While I find the latter to be elegant, they are on the less exciting side- despite the bride wearing a tiara. I love the Scandinavian weddings with full parures and orders. As for the turquoise parure, I think it would look pretty with a coiffure that has more height, because the tiara is of a more modest size. The build-up of hair would allow the tiara to nestle nicely rather than look like an afterthought. I wouldn't mind seeing this set again. Also, in a non jewel note- the experiment with the auburn hair color wasn't a success for The Grand Duchess so didn't serve this interesting tiara well as a backdrop.
Marianne, wouldn't you agree that complementing colors in gowns and the correct coiffure are all part of pulling off a stunning display of jewels?
