Couldn't agree more with both of you. For me, it has nothing to do with any 'crime' per se of a newcomer altering family jewelry but only with the quetion whether the change is for the better - in this case, it's for the worse IMO. In addition to what was said before, the unique wreath character which was achieved in Queen Ingrid's version, irregular but balanced, is undermined now for the sake of a prettiness which is indeed 'nice' but bland. The elements, more dense now, tend to blur, and the center top sags instead of rising like before, which I always find unfortunate in a tiara. --Previous Message-- : I wish they had left the top front leaf alone. : The tiara looks humdrum without it, and the : arrangement of berries and leaves is less : interesting, too.
