--Previous Message-- : I doubt that. The tiara has historical : provenance. I would say that it remains with : the Countess for life or until her sons : marry. Even then I would think it will : remain part of the Danish family trust. This tiara has never been part of the Danish family trust. It was a personal jewel of Queen Margrethe who received the tiara from her father on her 18th birthday. It was part of his inheritance from his mother, Queen Alexandrine. To my knowledge, none of Queen Alexandrine's jewels were placed in the family trust. Unless Bjarne Steen Jensen has come up with new information in past couple of years, nothing concrete is known about the origins of the tiara. I don't think it has ever been made public whether or not the tiara was an outright personal gift to Princess Alexandra or whether there were strings attached. : --Previous Message-- : Maybe because it is no longer a royal jewel : but a privately owned jewel by a Danish : noble lady now? : : :
