Firstly Happy Christmas and Seasons Greetings from Melbourne Australia. I have had computer problems for a couple of months so have not posted - but thanks to all for the articles, items, photos that I am catching up on.
I was thinking that woudldn't it be fantastic if Queen Elizabeth gave Anne, Camilla, Sophie & Katherine full access to the vaults at Buckingham Palace! Just imagine her saying "here are the keys go and find yourselves something nice for the state dinner".
Whilst this is not likely I would like to see the following:-
Anne in the Vladimir tiara with the Emerald drops & the Godman Emerald necklace.
Camilla I am split on - half of me would like to see her in the Kent Amethysts. The other half would like to see her in the Delhi Durbar tiara with Emerald spikes (Queen Mary style) with the Cambridge Emerald necklace.
Sophie I would like to see in the queens Sapphire and Diamond parure or perhaps the Brazilian Aquamarine and Diamond parure although I think that this may look a little "chunky" on her.
Katherine I would like to see in the Oriental Ruby and Diamond Circelet with the v shaped Ruby and Diamond necklace/bandeau given to the queen by her parents (see field page 140).
What would like to see happen (aside from seeing things from the vaults that we do not know are there)!
