I have seen some exquisite cubic zironia pieces, which are relatively inexpensive. Other than having a higher refractive index than a diamond, they are virtually indistinguishable (well, the good ones - many crystals are marketed as cubic zirconia) and their beauty, affordability, and the beauty of the designs would be a credit to anyone.
