Better ten hairpieces and wigs than one sloppy appearance. One sloppy appearance ruins ten glorious appearances.
With sloppy I do not mean if I like something or not, after all taste is in the eye of the beholder. But the whole visit it looks like the Princess is a bit off-key, not her usual herself. Or maybe she IS her usual herself but the dresser/coiffeuse/beautician was forgotten.
For an example, the fact that the Queen wore a scarf over her hat might be subject to debate. Some think she looked like a tsarina, some think she looked ridiculous. Some think she was most forthcoming to the traditions of her host, other thinks she was 'capitulating' (for Islam). But about one thing we can be unanimous, liked or disliked, it was a perfect execution, the scarf was precisely draped and the Queen even wore matching diamonds and turquoises. Every detail counts. That is something the future Queen Máxima still has not in her genes.
