Thank you so much Tamara!
This really is a superb tiara. It has always been one of my favourites, even in blurry 1920's and 1960's black and white pictures, but now it is shown in all its glory! Absolutely superb piece of jewelry. Has anyone else notest the really big diamonds in the center of the motifs? I simply adore the more classical style tiaras and this one, along with the Fife tiara, are definatelly the most beautiful (to my taste of course).
Indeed it seems that Queen Sophie is wearing it in a more closed, almost coronet style, in the first pictures, so most likely it can be readjusted to a smaller head size. I just hoped that Princess Marie-Chantal would have explored that possibility, I agree that the more closed version and placed a bit to the front in her head would have looked absolutely perfect. Still she looks impressive.
As to the earrings, they are very nice but I do find them too modern to match with this stunning tiara. HRH has several pairs of more classical style diamond earrings (I remember she wore diferent ones at the spanish pre-wedding dinner and at the pre-wedding and wedding of CP Frederick) that would have looked wonderful.
