For so far we know Queen Frederika of the Hellenes wore it for a last time in the public, about 45 years ago at the re-opening of the Teatro Real in Madrid on 13 October 1966. According the archives the Jefe del Estado, General Franco and his spouse were seated in the royal loge, together with high and mighty figures from the regime. Prominent guests were the Prince and Princess of Spain (as was the title then), Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía, accompanied by Queen Frederika of the Hellenes and Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark. The Teatro Real was re-inaugurated by the Orquesta Nacional de España and the Orfeón Donostiarra performing the Suite Homenajes by Manuel de Falla as well the Ninth Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven. So, Queen Anne-Marie of the Hellenes has never worn this diadem.
