I remember that the Countess of Barcelona owned an oval (or round) brooch with a sapphire encircled with diamonds, which was possibly inherited by one of her daughters. I do not have photos of the late Countess of Barcelona wearing it, but her daughters wore several times similar sapphire brooches or pendants. A little note for Alejandro: did you notice that in the photo you posted of HM Queen Sofia of Spain wearing the sapphire as a centre of her pearls necklace, we can also see a similar stone on her bracelet?
