    Thank you so much for bringing this wonderful royal lady to this board Pedro. This lady's grandest jewel is undoubtably her true golden hart rather than her diamond jewels .

    I've notest this diamond bow brooch too when I saw the first tv reports on her centenial milestone party. I have no information on this piece, and I am not shure if it's a Braganza or even a Wertheim- Rosenberg piece. I've seen pictures of her daughter Maria Teresa de Bragança Van Uden Chaves at the prewedding gala of Dom Duarte's wearing what seemed to be a big star shaped diamond brooch as corsage.
    On the Infanta's biography by Raquel Ochoa, she mentions that the family really had a bad time surving economicaly when they where in exile in Austria, during the times of 1st WW and after. She mentions that her brother Duarte (Dom Duarte Nuno, the father of the present Duke)did starved sometimes because he did not want to ask for food. I am not sure if any of the family jewels survided also without being sold...
