Claes, you say you have tried to identify the same two strand necklace on Princess Sibylla, but have you tried to identify the same one strand necklace?
In the beginning (also for Victoria's christening), Queen Silvia wore the necklace as one long strand, and only later on as a two strand necklace.
It remains convertible, as the pearls were worn in the two-strand version at Prince Carl Philip's christening but again as one strand at Earl Mountbatten's funeral a few days later back in 1979.
