And yes, The Blue Wittelsbach has been auctioned by Christie's(?) in 2008 and been recut in 2009 by the then owner, the jeweller Graff. The recut was disputed and it was said, the stone has lost its historical characteristics. In 2011 the "Wittelsbach Graff" as it is known by now has been sold and its today's whereabouts are unknown...
