Hello to everybody, it is the first time that I am able to post here because for a strange reason I could not do it before. I found a list of some wedding gift for Princess Louise of France.
Princess Louise was the mother of Mercedes countess of Barcelona, grand mother of the spanish king.
1) From the bridegroom Infante don Carlos of Borbón " Sicilias a diamond necklace and a bracelet of diamonds and rubies, diamond bodice ornament, handsome silver fox furs and a dressing case.
2) From the king and queen of England, diamond pendant surmounted by the letters "E and A" and a crown.
3) From the King and queen of Norway a brooch of burnt topaz set with diamonds.
4) From princess Victoria pendant of burnt topaz with diamonds to match the brooch.
In this site if you go down the page there is a dark topaz brooch donated by the Infante don Carlos and princess Louise to the Virgen del Rocio.
You can read that the brooch was made using diff stones and gifts from the family to the virgin, maybe part of this brooch was the gift from the Norway couple. It is just an idea, I do not know ???????
