QD: Queen Victoria's widowhood and coloured jewels Archived Message

On page 43, Hugh Roberts writes that in her widowhood Queen Victoria ". . .almost invariably wore only diamonds or pearls, avoiding coloured stones..."

For Princess Louise's wedding on 21 Mar 1871, Queen Victoria wrote in her journal "I word a black satin dress trimmed with jet, on my head over my veil, my diamond & ruby Tiara & my Parure to match."

Can anyone provide details on this particular parure? I believe that it was a gift of Prince Albert as the Queen wore rubies and diamonds on such a momentous day in her daughter's life.
