To me, that is a problem with Roberts. I wish every jewel in every picture were identified, and that he had included all of the Queen's diamond jewelry. Maybe that would have required multiple volumes. In any case, he does seem to have performed fresh research, but on pieces already described. The provenance of the Cullinan necklace, of course, is known, and it's odd he didn't include it in the Cullinan section.
