    Auguste Viktoria with emerald tiara Archived Message

    As Ursula mentioned it was a gift from Wilhelm II. to his wife.
    Here a picture of the empress with her daughter Viktoria who later got the emerald tiara.

    I´m always astonished about the small quantity of pictures of the bejewelled Auguste Viktoria. In comparison with Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary, Empress Alix and other royal ladies there are very few and often of bad quality - same pictures over and over again cut together. She seems to be much more "low key" - no "cartier counter"-fotos like QAlexandra or QMary.
