Thank you! I never realized it had so many possibilities, I just love versatile pieces. I must say I also prefer the "younger" version, it looked more balanced and imposing. Those saphires are magnificent, and the oval pendant piece is just wonderful, itīs an incredible set. I have pictures of Queen Alexandrine wearing the stones as a large sautoir, as it was fashionable in those days (the diamond pieces of the sautoir are now necklaces and bracelets of Prss Benedikte and Queen Anne Marie). I believe these stones came from her mother? Were they a gift to GD Anastasia? Are there any pictures or her wearing these saphires? Thank you --Previous Message-- : it is interesting how versatile this set : is...you can remove the diamonds in between : sapphires, which Queen Margrethe has been : doing quite often...you can re-arrange the : sapphires...for instance, the central : element is larger in one picture than the : other (see below pictures). : : there were also 2 sapphires converted into : hair pins...I just don't know if that was a : permanent change, which we saw ( Marianne if : you can kindly repost the picture from : Princess Nathali'e wedding) at the Berleburg : wedding. : : The necklace has been shortened and in my : opinion it looks much better as Queen : Margrethe wore it when she was : younger...lower and more grand looking. : : : : : : : : :
