As The Princess of Monaco, Charlene certainly doesn't share the same position as 'female spouse to an European Heir'. In terms of style, IMHO Maxima's dress and stole at the Luxembourg pre-wedding were certainly baroque, also overblown and way too much altogether. In short, anything but elegant and also offering too much additional glitter in competition with her jewels instead of complimenting them. But certainly colorful, vibrant, bold, 'typically Maxima', etc. etc.-
--Previous Message-- : Thanks for sharing your insights. : : To me it sounds like you see a sort of : 'competition', like the one between Diana of : Wales and Caroline of Monaco, the one : between Charlotte Casiraghi and Madeleine of : Sweden and you concluded "it seems : Charlotte has won". : : In my humble opinion there is no competition : at all. Why would Diana 'battle' with : Caroline? Any competition between Charlotte : Casiraghi and Princess Madeleine is also : just an invention of the media, I think. The : first one is not even a Princess at all. : : In essence Camilla, Mette-Marit, Mary, : Máxima, Mathilde, Stéphanie, Charlène, : Sophie and Letizia share the same position : as female spouse to an European Heir. For : the rest there are differences in age, in : personalities, in appearances, in media : interest and for sure also in the : possibilities to 'pack out'. All these : ladies seem to stand on very good terms with : each other. I don't think in competitions, : other than on these boards: who had the best : jewels, had the nicest dress, etc. : : : :
