I haven't found any information on this one at all. I don't mean that it was from Prince Albert at all - just that it reminds me of the style of the well known sapphire Albert brooch. I am not sure of what the stone is - it could well be 1) a pink sapphire 2) a pink spinel or 3) a pale ruby - or something else entirely.
I do like it as I find it simple and very pretty. I wish we could see it more often but I'm very happy that it is featured on this book cover!
I'd love to learn more about it if anyone has any information at all....
