Lorenzo can you please tell me more about the faith of the emerald parure from queen Amélia of Portugal? I have several pictures of this unfortunate Queen wearing them, and seen the sketch of them as wedding present. I know they were a wedding gift to Princess Amélie from her french relatives. The parure consisted of a diamond and emerald tiara, matching necklace, a beautiful big corsage brooch, and not sure if a bracelet. No earrings because the Queen did not have her ears pierced. Did the emeralds return to her french relatives after her death, since all her children died before her? Dona Esperanza of Two Sicilies (Brazil), mother of Pss Maria da Glória, first wife of Alexander of Serbia, had some of the emeralds I think. But I also read that the Dukal family of Palmela also had some of the emeralds... Do you have some information on these fabulous emeralds?
