    This picture shows the cut steel tiara in its original case with its silk-lined side ‘doors’ which open to reveal the tiara sitting on dark velvet block.
    This is how Queen Silvia found it in the late 70s forgotten in a storage place at Stockholm Palace.
    The craftsmanship and intricate work are indeed quite amazing, I particularly love the execution of the acorns.
    The picture is from a certain book for which a few Bernadotte jewels were photographed exclusively, but as that book is out of print by now and the pics are out on the internet anyway, below there’s the full picture of the tiara.
    In addition: Queen Silvia wearing it in 1991 with the cut steel earrings and a modern diamond and emerald brooch of hers, and in 2007 with the earrings and cut steel choker:
