Mine arrived today as well and I have read through it once already. There are two pages devoted to aquamarines. And there is such a tease!
Angela Kelly writes about the aquamarine tiara: "The tiara was made for The Queen in 1957. Originally simpler in form, it was adapted in 1971by the addition of the four scroll ornaments from an aquamarine (sic) presented by the Governor of Sao Paolo in 1968."
Admittedly, it is not clear but it sounds like the scroll ornaments were simply moved from the 1968 piece in 1971. Unfortunately the noun that should be where sic is is missing. Who wants to write to the publisher and ask for an erratum to be created?
Love the additional pictures of the aquamarine and ruby rings along with the personal pearl pieces.
