Besides the very similar amethyst pair of earrings, Diana also had two nearly identical pairs of sapphire earrings. One pair was composed of a sapphire cluster of eight diamonds over a cluster of nine diamonds, with a solitare in betweeen. The other pair had ten diamonds on top and eleven on the bottom with no diamond connecting them. The Duchess of Cambridge's match the pair on the left without the top cluster.
