Thank you for the pictures John. I haven't seen them for so long I had forgot how..."modern"...they were.

Oh dear, really, whats the point in giving something that you know for sure it is unwearable and will be stuck forever in some vault???
I find it a shameful waste of fine precious materials. Countless options of nice wearable jewels could have been made with this gold, silver and diamonds, that the Princess could proudly wear as her wedding gifts.

These two "tiaras" beat by far the danish golden poppies or norway's Star Treck tiara, those jewels can actually be worn...

: Are you sure you want to see them? It's
: absolutely ghastly and a waste of money.

: One is a helmet with removable 'tiara' by

: Would someone please be so kind and post a

: She was handed her unwearable helmet and
    : that
: was the last we've seen of it. I hope HRH
: will one day have the guts to melt the

: We all know that a 'tiara' can be many
    : things
: - think of Queen Margrethe, Queen Sonja,
: Crown Princess Maxima, Crown Princess Mary,
: Princess Marie of Denmark's modern tiaras...
    :
: Queen Elizabeth strikes me as quite
: conservative when it comes to jewellery - I
: am not sure HM would wear a tiara like the
: one Crown Princess Maxima received when HRH
    : got married...
    :
: in 1963 I am not sure the world was as
: 'visual' as it is today! so perhaps that is
: the reason Martin has heard about the tiara
: - but we have never seen it - as far as I
: know Crown Princess Maxima has not worn her
    : modern tiara either
