I wonder if these are cultured pearls. Natural pearls perfectly matched must be a small fortune!

: Pearls come naturally in different colours but
: the colours can also be enhanced by dyeing
: and irradiation. It's the South Sea Pearls
: that may have a golden colour. The darker
: gold, the more expensive! Guess which the
    : Queen prefers.....

: From pearlguide.com on the internet:
    :
: "The natural color of a pearl results
: from a combination of several factors. The
: pearl's bodycolor is its main color. This
: can be white, silver, cream-colored, gold,
: green, blue, or even black. The bodycolor is
: determined by the type of oyster or mollusk
: that produces the pearl (certain types of
: oysters generally produce pearls of certain
: colors), as well as the conditions of the
: water, and sometimes the type of nucleus
: which is implanted to stimulate the pearl's
    : creation."

: That is a nice portrait. I wonder how the
: pearls become golden? Are it South Sea
    : pearls?
