--Previous Message-- : I really hope that Queen Margrethe doesn't : divide her collection. I think : "loosing" the Alexandrine Diamond : Drop Tiara to Countess Alexandra has taught : her something. If it goes to either Prince Nikolai or Prince Felix then the tiara's destiny is probably the same had there been no divorce. In retrospect, it might have been better to place the tiara in the family foundation and then have it on permanent loan. That is possibly the situation with the floral tiara that Princess Marie wears. : Queen Alexandrine lived in another time of : royals marrying royals, but Queen Ingrid got : to see her grandchildren marrying commoners. : I guess she didn't want to overlook any of : her beloved daughters and grandchildren when : deciding on how to distribute her estate. Yes, I suppose so. But, after all, those were jewels that she brought from Sweden so entirely her decision what to do with them. The Cartier diadem surprised me the most. I sort of expected it to remain in Denmark with the proviso that any female descendant of Queen Ingrid could wear it on her wedding day. I wonder if there are any conditions placed on the ruby parure? Was it just a personal gift to CP Frederik and his to do with as he wishes? It's generally thought that it is now traditionally to be worn by the wife of the Crown Prince but is that a formal condition?
