It's worth buying, Alejandro! There are nearly 300 pages, 7 parts, which are divided in smaller chapters: Four Empresses - early history From neoclassicism to the empire style - Paul I The Emprie style - Alexander I The emergence of historicism - Nicholas I Battle of the Styles - Alexander II Fin de siecle - Alexander III The New century - Nicholas II The last part "The new century - N II" has for example following titles: Among the birds and the bees The belle epoque and garland style The most elegant and best-dressed woman in Petrograd Countess Betsy Shouvalova The wedding jewelry of princess Irina Iusupova and 10 other titles... It's very fascinating book indeed. Full of stories from here and there. A bit in Munn style. The focus is often in the people from Grand Duchy Finland, Finnish Jewellers in St Petersburg - maybe because PhD Ulla Tillander is fourth generation jeweller from Finland. There are many interesting anecdotes, short stories of people (Virubova, Ducky, Pistolekors, Karamzin, etc...) Lot of pictures (by Katja Hagelstam) of jewellery, Fabergé, Tillander, Bolin, small ornaments, few larger. Maybe quite much of jewellery from Finnish private collections and not seen so often. And a lot of pictures of people, photos and paintings. The dustjacket has beautiful close-up of the Fabergé winter egg and info of its present whereabouts. --Previous Message-- : What kind of jewels appears on the book? How : many chapters includes it?
