Yes the theme was Belle Epoque meets Pop which is a difficult combination to pull off, and it was all organized by Karl Lagerfeld so I suspect that also explains how the Grimaldi ladies were dressed. Really they should stay away from Kaiser Karl whose best days seem behind him. Perhaps in future they should leave the "theme" to the decorations and just show up in nice elegant evening clothes and not "costumes". --Previous Message-- : I believe this year's theme was a sort of : eighties pop/rock, so the ladies were : appropriately dressed. Over the net I see : mis-understanding, the most common is that : the ball is treated as a state event. It is : not, just a fundraising ball. That is often : forgotten. : : --Previous Message-- : : A very odd mix. : : : : : : http://cache1.asset-cache.net/gc/164396343-princess-charlene-of-monaco-and-prince-gettyimages.jpg?v=1&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=GkZZ8bf5zL1ZiijUmxa7QaIu8RwipMj1F07u%2buApUZEhZA1otbiDyH3MF%2bbi%2bpGwt9VWLwG4g8pFvosjMpc9WQ%3d%3d : : : :
