What I mean is this set of jewels (necklace, bracelet and a pair of earrings) from the Sultan of Oman gift set.
The other jewels which I mistakenly listed under the Sultan of Oman gift is probably from another Middle Eastern gift.
These pieces (below) are from the Sultan of Oman gift set:

Any correction or comment is : welcome here. : : : : : : : --Previous Message-- : Source: the same book GillW spoke of. I have : that book in my collection. : : : : I finally found what I was looking for in : one of the folders in my picture file. : : Here's the zoomed-up picture of the jewel : box. I count the following: : : **16 diamond and sapphire (or blue stone) : clusters. : : **6 diamond and ruby (or red stone) clusters : : **4 butterfly gemstones and diamonds : : **one gold palm tree : : **two gold Arabian-style swords : : being arranged around on the lid of the : lovely jewel box. : : : : : Like some of you, I don't think Princess : Diana took any of them off the box. But it's : sure tempting to think she or another royal : could create some jewel pieces out of them. : : I will post some pictures of : diamond-and-sapphires Princess Diana was : known to have worn (as far as I could tell) : tomorrow. : : : --Previous Message-- : I managed to locate a colour photo, but it : is : not good quality, and this is a photo of the : page. : The book is : Charles & Diana The Prince & : Princess of Wales, by Trevor Hall, Colour : Library Books, 1982 : : Despite the poor quality I think it is still : just possible to make out that the clusters : of stones mentioned are of various colours - : and that is how I remember it too from : seeing it in 1982. : : : : You can just make out too that the large : corner motifs are beautiful gold & : gem-set butterflies. : : : --Previous Message-- : Somewhere - I'm trying to locate it - I have : a : colour photo of the gorgeous jewel box. I : saw it for real when the wedding gifts were : on display many years ago. The box is green : malachite and the work on top is all solid : gold set with beautiful gemstones. It would : be nothing short of vandalism to take that : apart and I'm pretty sure no-one would do : such a terrible thing. If I find the colour : photo I will post it here. : : : --Previous Message-- : Yeah, Princess Diana could very well use : some : of these jewels off the box. I didn't really : notice them until you mentioned it to bring : my attention to the cover of the box. : Thanks, Mark! : : --Previous Message-- : Mark, I never really bothered to take a : close : look at the jewelry box either, but thanks a : lot that you did! : If you're beginning to see things, I do as : well - the frame on top does indeed appear : to contain a lot of sapphire clusters. I'm : counting nine clusters on each long side and : possibly three on the small sides which - if : correct - would offer space for a lot of : possibilities. : Princess Diana could not just consider a : gift like this a personal one but as a : matter of fact, back then it was - and the : box would IMO have been the most likely item : to be broken up, hardly suiting her taste : and not very practical after all either. : : --Previous Message-- : It has been a long time since I posted : anything here, but I have enjoyed reading : everyone's posts (there are so many : knowledgeable people here!) and I always : like returning to Diana's jewels, since it : gives me a reason to revisit that wonderful : website and take a stroll down memory lane : : I have seen these photos often, but just now : for the first time I really took a good look : at the box: I may be imagining things, but : there seem to be many diamond and sapphire : clusters encrusting the border surrounding : the central palm tree! : : Of course in a black and white photo it is : impossible to be sure of the color, but if : you look especially at the section of the : border just in line with the top and bottom : of the palm tree, you can see three clusters : arranged in a triangle - to me it seems : strikingly similar to these "chandelier : earrings" Stuart is referring to. : : Dawn has already mentioned that one pair of : clusters were worn by Diana already before : her marriage, but is it possible that the : additional clusters we have seen in the : various arrangements might have come from : the box and not the bracelet at all? : : These gifts were given long before the : recent clarification of rules regarding : official gifts to members of the Royal : Family, so it is not unlikely that Diana : would have considered all of this to be very : much her own private property, and we have : seen that she did make alterations to the : jewels... would altering the box be too : far-fetched? : : : : : : --Previous Message-- : So if the watch bracelet remained intact, : the : double cluster and "chandelier" : earrings-please see link- were not made from : it unless they were later dismantled. Did : Diana wear the double cluster earrings after : the reappearance of the watch? My guess : would be the ring from the Saudi set was : used fir the choker. : : : : : : : : : http://www.dianasjewels.net/bluestoneearrings.htm : : : : : : : : : : : : :
