Lalla Salma is made a princess of her own right by her marriage. Obviously not even this is unusual, but also to see the wife of the King in public at all. In Morrocco polygamy is in practice and her father in law had two wifes. Both were never called Queen. Itīs a very traditional society and in this context the dealing with the profile of Lalla Salma is for what I understand carefully progressive.
