At last, an opinion on the Princess I can soundly agree with, anyone ever see Breakfast at Tiffany's? where Hollie Golightly goes into the Tiffany store and tells the assistant that she thinks diamonds are perfectly darling for an older woman but not right for her... yet. Anyone consider that? The 'deep and engaging involvement' that was made of Princess Charlene's jewellery design, I beleive to be more a marketing opportunity for the house of Vancleef and Arpels, and not so much about her picking a distinct personal collection of jewels she'd naturally turn to at every occasion. And given the controversy at her wedding with rumours that she tried to flee the state and escape prior to the ceremony, the assumption that something is 'off' in the marriage is redundant. Perhaps theirs isn't a typical marriage, perhaps however they've chosen to support each other and stand by their vows. There might be a lot of questions we can ask about the two of them, but the only answers there might be I'm afraid come from the two people involved in the marriage, this conjecture adds nothing to the thread. Personally I don't think the Ocean collection is very much in the personal style of the Princess, givn that her fashion taste is for simple, structured and statuesque shapes and forms. The fussiness of each of the pieces pictured above in the thread are unsympathetic to her personal style --Previous Message-- : Who or what would she be defying? Mrs Grimaldi : looks perfectly fine: Plain and Simple. : : : : : --Previous Message-- : : : --Previous Message-- : I think the princess is a modern young woman : who doesn't fee the need to wear jewelry in : order to 'advertise' who she is. I was : looking at pictures of her late : mother-in-law and it was just so amazing to : see Princess Grace turned out so stylish as : far as hair, clothes, and jewels. It was : classic all the way.
