That counts for the royal family but I was irritated by those comments on VRT almost 'disappointed' that no one disturbed the event, stressing how 'lukewarm' the public outside was ("ah, you see it is not that overwhelming at all") and continuously referring to "koningsgezinden" (royalists) outside instead of 'people', 'public', 'belgians'.

For the ladies and gentlemen politicians it looked like a little disturbance between breakfast and lunch on Sunday. "Oh yes, a new King". I saw so many ladies and gentlemen so poorly dressed... or ostentatively pretending this was all sooo boring (parliamentarians from the N-VA), the VRT camera even looking for parliamentarians whom might shout "Vive la République!" and zooming in on 'candidates' (Jean-Marie Dedecker or so). The commentators were almost eh... 'disappointed' that it went all so smooth and without disruption...

The 'new' royal family looked fantastic. The King made a very self-assured and relaxed attitude. No any sign of nerves before and during the ceremony. When he sat on the throne: a true King. A true Von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha profile. The King, the Queen and their children managed it to lift it all up, out of that tearful 'swamp' with Belgian politicians, all listening like schoolboys.
