For some reasons I have a weird feeling seeing this: two Queens visiting Asscher and walking past the one diamond cutter after the other but in the end no nice cassette with a rivière or something? In the "flow" of the visit, being the City of Amsterdam and Asscher, I would have given such a cadeau, also as a sort of promotion. The same counts for highdays in the Dutch royal family, up intil the 1960's so now and then gifts were made for them, like Queen Juliana's platinum horloge encrusted with diamonds, also cut in Amsterdam and assembled by today's Court Jeweller (Steltman in The Hague). Since then we have had two major weddings (Beatrix and Willem-Alexander), two Investitures (Beatrix and Willem-Alexander) but no any gift from the Amsterdam diamond industry... Maybe the two Queens were given diamonds by Asscher indeed but no word about that in the video.
