I found this newsreport in the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf from 26-05-1978.

She tells about how in the week before her most cherished jewels were stolen from her house in Munich.

'I am deeply saddened'. 'The jewels I bought myself I can easily replace, but those I inherited from my mother Princess Sibylla, my grandfather King Gustaf VI Adolf and my great grandfather King Gustaf V, are irreplaceable.'

She kept her jewels in her bedroom. First she noticed nothing, but she got a hunch something was wrong when a bottle of liquor wasn't in its usual place (!). Later, when she wanted to change clothes for dinner, she noticed the jewels were gone.

'The thieves must have known my habits. They must have entered my house in the time I went to collect my daughter from school, in between 12.00 and 12.30. I do that every day. There were two servants in my house, but the bedroom windows, with a view on the garden were open, because the weather was lovely. There are no finger prints. The police found footprints under the windows and on the garden paths.'
