Her father is also fixing the lock of one of the bracelets belonging to the saphire parure. btw i've never seen an emerald in Emma's saphire pendant. The only brooch that has changed the central stone is the round brooch that can have a pearl pendant and used to be with e central emerald but since the 80's has only been worn with a saphire. Princess Beatrix used it to pin the ribbon of the order of the Dutch Lion to her dress for her son's inauguration.
--Previous Message-- : If you zoom in the picture Marianne so kindly : provided the link to you can see it is the : oval pendant of Queen Emma which as we know : contains a Sapphire. Why would Irene have : changed the central stone for this occasion? : She's also wearing sapphires in the : necklace.... : : : And this photo is even more clear on the : motif of the pendant: : : http://www.gahetna.nl/collectie/afbeeldingen/fotocollectie/zoeken/weergave/detail/tstart/0/q/zoekterm/Prinses%20Irene%20prins%20bernhard%201962/start/17 : : : : --Previous Message-- : : Well at least we can be sure that she is : wearing a saphire. Wether it is Emma's oval : shaped pendant or the round broche that is : also worn with an emerald, we can be sure : that she wears a saphire broche.. because of : the trellis necklace. : The 3 sorts of gems used in that are: : pearls, diamonds and saphires. There are no : emeralds for the trellis necklace. : : : : --Previous Message-- : Those were the days...
