The second setting of the Mellerio Sapphire Tiara was meant to be worn with a very different hairdo / style anno 1880. I think that would have made somewhat of a difference don't you agree? It was meant as a more modest setting for a less grand occassion. We have to bear in mind that it was never designed as a wedding tiara nor as a glitz and glam piece. --Previous Message-- : After seeing that video again: Mabel engaged : into marriage with a "junior : Prince", with that I mean not on the : same level as a : Willem-Alexander/Frederik/William/Felipe, : etc. But I think the bride Mabel had, : measured to the glitter of stunning : diamonds, one of the best diadems of all : brides. This does not mean that the sun ray : motif diadem an sich is a beautiful one. : Every time I see that monture, I feel it is : "not finished" and my hands really : want to design a better one. The diamonds : are amazing, the monture not so. : : : :
