Well known by some of us but not seen in ages. Way back we had some images from it but the site disappeared for quite a long time. I used to search for it regularly and was delighted to see it back very recently.
As I recall the Lafayette collection is many glass plates that were discovered - maybe in an attic or long forgotten place - and were due to be simply cleared out and thrown away. Many were broken but someone realised just what they were and the collection was saved.
