    The Luxemburg sapphire tiara was exhibited in the big "Glittering Europe" exhibition in Brussels in 2007 and 2008 and described in the catalogue by Muriel Prieur. She gives no information about the provenance other than that it was indeed made around 1865-1870 and originally was a personal jewel of Grand-Duchess Adelheid-Marie, and now is part of the "Hausschmuck" of the Grand Ducal Family.

    The resemblance with the Prussian tiara is striking, but then the design is so classical that it might just be similar. If the Prussian tiara still exists it might be in the Reuss family.

    It would be nice to have more information about the provenance of the Luxemburg tiara which is really one of my favourites.
