I know that many people report that the current Duke and Duchess of Kent sold the sapphire tiara and reconstructed another one from part of the necklace. Is there any actual evidence of this conveyance, or did people assume it was sold because it hasn't been seen for years, and the sapphire 'button' tiara has been used more recently? Apologies if this has been discussed in detail before.
