By coincidence I saw the arrival of the Queen and the princely couple at the theatre in Oviedo (Asturias) where these prestigious prizes were awarded. (TVE Internacional on my cable).
A very stylish affair, lots of folks outside between the city hall and the theatre (the route of the royal cortège) but also a lot of anti-monarchists, separatists, anti-globalists and name them all.
When I saw it on television, I thought the event deserved some more outspoken jewelry, it is grand and festive enough to pack out. Queen Sofía was stylish as always, sitting at the royal loge. The princely couple on the "main stage". Don Felipe as a self-assured and secure gentleman. Doña Letizia looked a bit a grey mouse. My thoughts were: "Some eyecatching pieces could spice it all up a bit."
The earrings mentioned in this thread were hardly visible or took no attention on television, I must say.
