Has the jeweller Faraone anything to do with the noble family Cassis-Faraone?
I stumbled over Florentine (Flora) Fentener van Vlissingen (1909-2003), daughter of Frederik Fentener van Vlissingen and of Sophia Schout Velthuys. In 1931 Florentine married (in Utrecht) Leo Count Cassis-Faraone (1894-1952). After the death of Count Cassis-Faraone this Florentine remarried with the Austrian nobleman Hans Count Trapp von Matsch (1897-1983).
The relationship between the family Fentener van Vlissingen (one of the wealthiest of the Netherlands) and the Orange-Nassaus was close under Prince Bernhard. The father of this Florentine, Frederik Fentener van Vlissingen, was one of the Netherlands' most important industrial moguls, he also was a commissioner at Werkspoor (which would win a massive Argentinean order for trains). Maybe he told the Prince: "Oh... we have something in da' house to satisfy Evita Perón"?
