    Exactly!
    They kept six small elements from the necklace which were attached to the band of diamonds and sapphires so we can conclude they did not dismantle the entire necklace.


    Look Queen Wilhelmina was a sweatheart for wearing the parure as long as she did and it must have been an impressive sight but if they were still in one piece today, tiara and necklace would have looked best in a museum.

    They made some stunning and very wearable small Jewels from the tiara but the sight of that magnificant tiara and necklace is now lost for ever and that's sad because it was a very unique piece.
