The Cartier Flower Tiara, once worn by HRH Princess Lilian of Rethy was already worn in 1953. The centerpart was a brooch on the toque of the princess during the Grand-Ducal wedding in april.
Do someone knows when it became property of the princess because it was said that the tiara was still with Cartier at the time of the coronation of Queen Elisabeth II, wich was in june 1953.
When Lilian wore it as tiara, it was a big shame, she caused a "rebel" at the courtball in 1958. Wearing to much bling-bling, being to glittering, being to beautifull, being the star of the evening :s
