    Different shades Archived Message

Anything is possible but you also have to consider the different shades of the Aquamarines. The colour of Aquamarines can differ quite a lot. And most of these jewels were not bought as a set, nor at the same jeweller or even the same decade!
Through the years I have noticed that also in this collection the various stones have different shades so you might not be able to combine all of them too closely. For instance the Aquamarines in the tiara and large briolette pendant earrings and even the Belle Epoque sautoir necklace have a similar but lighter colour or intensity while the large pear shaped Aquamarine set in diamonds and the other sets of earrings has a more bright vibrant light blue tone. Reason why these were combined in Spain I think.

: I like the aquamarine best as part of a
: brooch. HM has allready used it very
: effectively that way in Spain and Laurentien
: wore it well for the dinner at the
    : Rijksmuseum.

: Would it be possible for this drop
: aquamarine to be used as a pendant under the
: square brooch Bernhard gave Juliana?? That
: would make an impressive jewel.

: What must play a role as well is the clash
    : of
: old versus modern between the riviere and
    : the pendant.
